In 1980, Crawford Broadcasting acquired KBRT(AM) in Los Angeles. This station, along with the other five, formed the core of the Crawford Broadcasting Company from 1980 to 1991. K-Brite is still going strong today with the largest broadcast signal area of any Christian station in Southern California.
