New Country 96.9 (CJXL, 96.9 FM) is Greater Moncton's flagship country music station. First launched in November 2001 as XL 96 FM — returning country to the area's FM dial after a three-year absence — the station rebranded to New Country 96.9 in February 2017. Owned by Stingray Group and broadcasting at 100,000 watts, it serves New Brunswick with a mix of locally produced shows such as The Scotty & Tony Show and Canadian syndicated country programming.
