WYPL 89.3 Memphis

Operated by the Memphis Public Library & Information Center, WYPL 89.3 is one of only two open-air radio reading services in the United States — and the only one designated the "Model Radio Reading Service" by the American Foundation for the Blind. Volunteers read local and national newspapers, novels, and non-fiction daily, while original shows like Book Talk, Eye On Vision, and Night Owl round out the schedule. Evening hours shift to a celebration of Memphis music history from the rock, soul, and blues golden era of the 1950s–70s.
